    How To Make Fluffy Slime

Welcome to this fluffy slime post! You must be a glutton for punishment if you want to make slime of any kind, but especially fluffy slime. I 100% believe that the person that decides to make fluffy slime is one of three things (or all three):

    • Likes to create sticky messes
    • Likes to clean up sticky messes
    • Insane

To be fair, I have these feelings because as you can see, our fluffy slime didn’t turn out like the sparkly unicorn poop advertised on the Pinterest recipes. Ours turned out more like a big giant splatter of unicorn diarrhea all over the dining room table.

I am going to post the recipe that we used because I honestly think it was a measurement error of how we added the ingredients. I have revised how to do it and hopefully that does the trick… Regardless though, the stuff will end up as a mess somewhere in your house, we just took the immediate mess rather then the fluffy slime stuck in the bed sheets two days later.

    Without further ado….

    Ingredients

    • Elmer’s Glue: This serves as the base for your slime. You can use clear glue if you prefer a transparent slime.
    • Contact Lens Solution (Borax also works for this): If using contact lens solution, ensure it contains boric acid and sodium borate.
    • Baking soda: Adds texture to slime
    • Shaving Cream: The secret to the fluffiness. The shaving cream adds volume and an airy texture to the slime.
    • Food Coloring: Make it pretty

    Let’s do this

    1. Add Elmer’s glue to a bowl.
    2. Add shaving cream. The more shaving cream you add, the fluffier your slime will be.
    3. Mix Thoroughly: Use a spoon or stir stick to mix the glue and shaving cream until they are well combined.
    4. Add Food Coloring (Optional): If you want colored slime, add a few drops of food coloring and mix until the color is evenly distributed.
    5. Activate with Borax or Contact Lens Solution: Slowly add the borax solution or contact lens solution to the mixture, stirring continuously. Keep adding until the slime starts to come together. You may need to adjust the amount based on your desired consistency.
    6. Knead and Play: Once the slime has formed, take it out of the bowl and knead it with your hands. The more you knead, the smoother and more elastic your fluffy slime will become…..hopefully.
    Pour glue into bowl
    Add shaving cream
Add contact lens solution and baking soda
    knead until smooth
    or until kitchen is destroyed
