Spooky Mummy dogs and Mummy corn dogs

Rare is the day where I feel like an over achieving parent when I feed my kids hot dogs and corn dogs. But add a little wrapped croissant dough and a couple mustard eyes, and all of a sudden this mom is feeling pretty good about her holiday spirit. I just throw a couple raw hotdogs on the table and the kids do the rest. It’s amazing how a little processed meat and butter loaded dough can bring the Halloween party to life. And unlike the deviled egg eyeballs that kids just looked at totally grossed out, these mummies will be the first non sweet thing eaten at the table. Nothing like a corndog to soak up all that sugar in those Oreo bats and worms in dirt ……

    Ingredients:

    • Hot dogs
    • Corndogs
    • Croissant dough
    • Condiments (mustard and ketchup)
    • Candy eyes (optional)

    Let’s do this:

    Mummy Dogs

    1. preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
    2. Unroll Croissant dough according to package. Cut or tear into strips.
    3. Wrap hot dogs with strips of Croissant dough to make it look like a mummy
    4. Cook according to package (11-14 minutes or until lightly brown)
    5. Add condiment dots as eyes

    Corn Dog Mummy

    1. Cook corn dogs according to package instructions
    2. Add ketchup and mustard as mummy strips
    3. Add candy eyes
Cook for 11-14 minutes at 350
    Add mustard and ketchup eyes
    ENJOY!!
