French for the word pancake, crepes, are popular throughout all of France.  While most well known as being a dessert, crepes with different fillings can also be eating for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Some of the most popular things to put inside a crepe are cheese, ham, spinach and eggs.  For dessert fillings, chocolate and hazelnut Nutella is popular along with fresh fruits, jams and jellies, ice cream, and pie fillings.

Once you master the crepe, try both sweet and savory versions.  They are all amazing.

    Here is what you need

    • 1 cup flour
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 cup milk at room temperature
    • ½ cup water at room temperature
    • 2 large eggs at room temperature
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for sweet crepes)
    1. Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth
    2. Add a little butter to a non stick pan and slowly pour a tennis ball size of batter into a heated pan.
    3. Once it starts to form little bubbles (about 30-45 seconds) flip and cook for another 10 seconds
    4. Add Nutella to center of crepe and fold. Top with raspberries and whipping cream.
